About Rivercombe

Hi, I'm Violette.

I'm an artisan candlemaker settled in Dinan, near the Emerald Coast in Brittany. Perpetually inspired by crisp autumn dawns, stone cottages and cobbled lanes, my profound love and years spent living in the British Isles brought me to imagine Rivercombe.

I aspire to capture the essence of quiet days spent in the English countryside, and pour them into every of my candles. As I believe a dream world should never harm the real one, every candle is vegan and responsibly sourced. 

I source pure, clean-burning soy wax from Sweden, and delicate vessels and labels from the Netherlands, while working alongside master perfumers in Scotland. The candles are then carefully created and handpoured in my workshop.

I hope my creations open a window to Rivercombe and bring you comfort.
